Donate to help us rebuild our life from the fire

Saturday at 8:00am while getting ready to pick up my kids I survived the fire on Avenue Rd which could have taken our lives. I’m a single father and I’d finally found a place to call my own, a place for my kids to grow, and not surfing couches or staying at my mom’s.

This place was more than just an apartment for me, it represented me getting back on my feet after a few years of being down.

Also my life’s work was in the apartment including the music studio I spent the last two years creating. Many of you know I’ve been giving recording sessions to artists in the community. The morning of the fire I was in the living room doing taxes and planning my future in the space. I was working on turning my music production skills into a business, and prepping the docs for content insurance for the place. Needless to say the time of this fire could not have been more heartbreaking.

My loved ones keep telling me it’s okay to ask for help and that you don’t have to bear it all on your own. 

So I’m asking friends, family, colleagues, community and my music fam if you would help me rebuild my life in any way you are able to contribute. You can donate, or share this post with someone who can. 

 

My intention is to rise up from this unfortunate event, and have a home for my family and getting back to supporting our community with music recordings after rebuilding the studio. #supportthearts
