Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts. A few days ago, Naudya was at work in a local retail store when a man came in to commit a robbery. In a moment that changed everything, he threw a cup of muriatic acid into her face. She was raced to the hospital and is now facing a long road to recovery. Doctors are monitoring her eyes closely, and there is a very real concern of permanent damage to her cornea.
This devastating act has left her unable to work for the time being. While she may eventually receive some support through workers' compensation, this was only one of her jobs. She is also unable to continue her other employment, which means the loss of critical income. Unfortunately, she has not worked long enough to qualify for Oregon's paid leave program.
Right now, her family is struggling to cover basic needs like rent and bills. They are doing everything they can, but the financial strain has become overwhelming. Until insurance and other supports begin to help, they are at risk of falling behind.
We would never ask for help unless it was truly necessary. At this time, any contribution, no matter how small, would make an enormous difference in helping them get through this crisis. Your kindness will give them stability and peace of mind while Naudya focuses on healing from this traumatic event.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, prayers, and support.
