Hi everybody,

I am fundraising for my Friend's son in Karachi Pakistan, Mr. Ali Muhammad Asad, Here is his story:

I am Ali Muhammad Asad, a Computer Science Junior at Habib University, with a minor in Mathematics, and aiming for another minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Habib University partners with some selected universities to annually offer a summer exchange program by the name of “Learn Abroad Program”. These selected institutes also include Stanford, ranked #2 globally.

From Habib, I am one of the few students who got selected, from a competitive pool of around 100 of the top students at Habib, and a rigorous selection process including an application process, presentation and interview, where students are evaluated based on their academic standing, extra-curricular activities, volunteer experience, and how they’ve spent their time at Habib and outside. Currently, I am studying at an 80% Merit-Based Scholarship at Habib, with a 3.69 CGPA.

My participation in the Summer Exchange Program is subject to self funding, while Habib offers me 50% of the total costs of the program, which shows that the institute considers me a valuable investment. Therefore, I am seeking financial assistance to make this dream a reality, and so that I am able to avail this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The program starts in June 2024, however, I have to confirm my participation by 15th March 2024, which can only be done once I have raised the required funds

I would be extremely grateful for your support, whether it be in the form of financial aid, or by connecting me with individuals or organizations who can support me. Even if around 100 individuals contribute at an average of USD $100 each, I will be able to raise the desired amount.
