Donate to Help Merri & Dave

Hello! My name is Heather and I am starting a Go Fund Me to support our dearest Merri during a trying time in her life. About a month ago, after a series of developing symptoms and test results, Merri received the diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Merri, being who she is, still radiates love, compassion, and incredible strength! Her positivity and determination to beat this disease is admirable. She constantly shows gratitude for the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who are working along side her. She even went out of her way to stock the nurses' staff room on her hospital room floor during nurses apprecaition week. Even during the first week of her diagnosis she was thinking about others!!!

Merri is finally home from her first long stay at the hospital, but her journey is definitely still not over. With a schedule full of appointments, chemotherapy treatments, more hostpial stays, and medical procedures, Merri and Dave will both be taking leave from work. Unfortunately, that paid leave only goes for so long. Not to mention the increase in overall living expenses as they adapt their lives to this new routine is a financial strain. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for Merri and Dave, to help make this time a little bit easier. The last thing we want Merri and Dave doing is stressing over money!

Merri has been blogging about her life and sharing her medical journey and road to recovery through her Caring Bridge page. One of her best friends is also organizing a Meal Train page for her as well.
