Mourning the Loss of Karl, I miss your contagious smile

Dear Friends and Community Members,

It is with heavy hearts that I reach out to you after an unexpected tragedy. There are no words to express how my hearts break. I had trouble sleeping, my physical condition has declined a lot.

My husband Karl was a very kind person. Whenever he saw or knew someone needed help, he always did his best to help. On his calendar plan, he always wrote name whom needed to help and things he needed to help to do.

Karl was very generous to people and very “cheap” to himself. He not only directly donated more than 10% of his income per month, but also donated when he received email or letter asking for donation. We always bought food which were on sale. We didn’t go to restaurant even on holiday, but donated food and money on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Karl was a very devout Christian. He didn’t make much money, but he donated all he could give. He always talked about “a poor widow put in two very small copper coins into the temple treasury” story.

A few days ago, before he had an accident, Karl only slept three – four hours per day. He helped a person who lived far. Doing hard work for too long for several days in a row, on the way home during night he had car accident, he stopped heartbeat.

Faced with this unexpected and sad event, I found myself unprepared for the associated financial challenges. Karl had always been in charge of all finance in our family, I didn’t know much about it. He didn’t save money for us, he said The God will take care us.

I work hard even my physical condition wasn't good. But I didn't make enough to cover all the bills. There are some problems with the house that need to be repaired.
