Help bring my mom some peace this Holiday Season
Donation protected
The only thing I want for Christmas this year is to surprise my mom with a generous gift for her 68th birthday (on the 18th)/Christmas, and I am hoping you can help me in doing so! If you were thinking of getting me something for Christmas this year, a donation to this fundraiser (big or small) is all I'd ask for. And why you ask? Well I could write a book on why she deserves the world, but I will try to sum it up best I can.
Most of those who know me, know I moved to Pennsylvania from Vermont a bit over two years ago. Back in Vermont lives my mom who raised me on her own for basically 23 years. What most people do not know is that she has been battling liver cancer for the last several years. She is the one who enabled me to discover and pursue my passion for horses. She is my best friend and has always been my biggest supporter - never missing a track meet, horse show, school concert, you name it. After I was born my mom went back to college and got her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She worked as an office adminstrator for most of my life, and always made sure I had the things I needed. She truly is a shining example of what a great mom should be.
A few years ago she was taken off the liver transplant list due to the location of one of the lesions. She has been through radiation and other treatments, and Dartmouth continues to manage it. The last few years have been challenging financially with her not in work. I know money doesn't bring happiness but it can at least lighten the load a little. She worked hard my entire life and always made sure I was well taken care of. I desperately want to be able to give back to her but I know I cannot do it all on my own. So please, if you are wanting to give something this holiday season, think of donating here and help me to bring my mom a little bit of peace this holiday season.
I have the donation goal set high, not because I expect to reach it but just to make sure there is really not a limit. As I said, any donation is appreciated, big or small. Thank you again
