Donate to help Alana get her wish

Hi my name is Erika and I have been friends with Alana Donovan since 2012.

We were instant friends after meeting at our old work place during my first shift.

Having Alana in your life is one of the greatest gifts you could ever receive. She is kind, HILARIOUS, thoughtful, witty, and compassionate. As most of you know, Alana was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable melanoma cancer with metastasis to the brain in 2020. She has over come obstacle after obstacle and surpassed her original prognosis, kicking ass every step of the way. She has had major surgery twice, including BEING AWAKE for the BRAIN SURGERY, and has been poked, prodded and jabbed for 4 years. Our girl has fought with everything in her and has never, ever, complained once!!!!!! She is the most selfless person and gives a sense of calm and pure love in this crazy world. She has the most gorgeous heart and soul.

Recently, barely 6 months after her brain surgery (back in October 2023) where they were able to remove 90% of the tumour, her awful symptoms have returned (full body pain, migraines, pressure in her brain, swelling, vertigo, dizziness, seizures, being unsteady on her feet etc) and she has been told that there is disease progression. (tumour growth) We're devastated by this news and don't have many options left. Radiation is not penetrating the fast growing tumour and immunotherapy hasn't been working either.

Alana has always talked about wanting to travel and specifically travel to Disney.

She has never been and has always wanted to go.

I am truly not even sure she will be well enough to travel, but financially, I want her to have the option. I don't want her to feel she can't go because of finances. If she isn't able to travel, I'd love for her to use the donations any way she sees fit.

It is difficult because we all feel helpless in this situation, but this is one way I would love to help her. I know the economy is insane and we're all struggling in one way or another but ANYTHING HELPS! Every little bit truly makes a difference and we could help our brave fighter and friend with taking some financial burdens off of her.

If you know Alana, you know how special she is, and if you know Mitchell, her husband, you know what a true rare gem he is. He hasn't left Alana's side and they both deserve our support. They deserve the world and beyond.
