My name is Laura Delpiano. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother David Tabrizipour and his wife Danielle in an effort to help ease the burden they now face medically and financially after a tragic accident on May 21, 2021. David is a beloved husband, father (Kaden 10 and Kylie 3 weeks old), son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. David’s life will forever be changed and may never go back to normal.
On Friday, May 21st David was the front seat passenger in a single vehicle accident where the SUV he was riding in hit a telephone pole head on and then spun into a tree at a very high speed. As a result, David suffered life threating injuries and has been fighting for his life in the ICU. Among all of the trauma, David suffered major blood loss, organ failure, a sheared foot, and multiple broken/fractured bones including: two broken legs, dislocated hips and broken pelvis, fractured nose, broken ankle, and 7 broken ribs.
Luckily, with the Grace of God, the amazing hospital staff and doctors have been able to help David’s condition improve over the last two weeks after undergoing multiple surgeries and procedures. The road ahead for him is still long, but his progress has led them to be able to take him off some of his sedation allowing him to open his eyes and respond to family or friends.
As of today, David is still in the ICU at North Georgia Medical Center. This will be his home for the next 8-12 weeks until he is strong enough to leave the Hospital. After this, he will need months of physical therapy to gain his strength, learn how to walk again and fully recover from the trauma.
The Tabrizipour family’s medical expenses are unknown at this time, but between his current hospital stay, post hospital rehabilitation and lack of work, we know this burden is going to be heavy on them. David’s career has been in the restaurant industry for 15+ years and going back to that line of work will be hard for him.
