Juanitas living expenses

Hello potential donors, thank you for looking at the page that I, Cris Mora Rubio with the help of others, have set up for my mother. I am asking for help because my father has been deported to Mexico due to an unpaid parking ticket that later turned into a warrant for his arrest. I feel that it is important to emphasize that my father was by no means a criminal or a threat. He was just a family man. Regardless, his deportation puts my family in a really tough situation financially. My father was the main source of income for our family. He worked two jobs tirelessly so that my siblings and I could attend college. Fortunately, I am the youngest and the last to pursue higher education. I am a first-generation American College student and I am studying to be a Registered Nurse and will later become a Nurse Practitioner. I worked hard through high school to get scholarships and worked to cover the remaining costs of college while my parents made sure that I had what I needed to study, a roof over my head, internet, food, and other essentials I needed to stay on track to reach my dreams. 


Not having the extra income from my dad would most likely force me to get a job with many scheduled hours just to help cover living expenses, which would greatly impact my education.  In addition, my own money would no longer go to my college tuition, but would instead go to supplement my father income.


The support I am asking for is to cover costs of living for myself and my family for three years. Once I graduate from college I will be in a position to help my parents with what they need. In addition, since I am also not a legal resident I do not receive federal aid and I can’t apply for loans, so these private donations really go a long way for me.
