Takajo Family, our dear friend Don Mathews has been deeply affected by Hurricane Harvey.  His home near Houston and his car were badly damaged by three plus feet of water.  He is safe and staying with friends, after being evacuated from his house by a State dump truck.  He is going to have a long road ahead with very substantial repair, replacement and restoration costs. It would be great if we could all come together to help Don as he tries to rebuild his home and replace his possessions.Don has been a central part of every aspect of life at Takajo since 1976.  If you are a Takajo parent, more than likely Don has sent you a photograph of your son after successfully teaching him to water ski.   What a great opportunity to demonstrate to our kids the lessons of helping others at their time of need.  We will try to use this site to keep everybody up to date on Don’s progress.
