On Tuesday Nov. 27, thieves backed a truck through the wall at Dominion Outdoors in Winkler. In 90 seconds they made off with a substantial amount of inventory.
While Dominion Outdoors carries major insurance, it turns out that the insurance company never told them that they were only covered for $2,500. This came as a complete surprise because I, and they, were told many times everything was entirely covered. In fact, Bentley was just days away from changing insurance companies which would have covered them. Talk about terrible timing!
Because of this insurance problem, Bentley’s family lost just under $25,000 out of their own pocket. Small business owners know how hard you have to work to earn this kind of profit.
Let’s come together as a community and show the guys at Dominion how Southern Manitoba looks out for one another!
