Hello, my name is Brian Dominey. Thank you for visiting my page, "Help Brian Take A Stand!", and for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this. I need your help.
I am asking you to help me raise money by making a contribution toward the purchase of a standing frame made by EasyStand, as I continue this journey to defeat a neurological disease.
I was 32 yrs old when this disease started in May 2007. I am now 38 yrs old and I spend about 90% of my week in a hospital bed, which I have been bedridden for over 59 months. I am completely reliant on others to do everything for me. I require breathing assistance most of the time. I am disabled and have been out of work since November 2007. My wife has been unemployed for over 32 months. Her unemployment benefits were exhausted on April 21, 2012, and we have been living solely off of SS Income and donations since then. We have two boys; a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old. I have never held my 5 yr old and I have not held my 8 yr old since December 2007.
My doctor has made a recommendation that a standing frame would be beneficial to me. After much research, I have discovered that a standing frame has many benefits for someone in my condition.
I believe this will be very beneficial to me and will be well worth the cost, but I can not afford the funds that it will take to purchase this product. I am praying for God's plan to be fulfilled in my life and that I will make the right decisions through this journey to bring Him all the glory. I believe God would want me to "occupy" until He manifests my healing. Until that moment comes, I want to wisely do everything that I can to promote my health and my recovery.
