Domestique Barista Fund

Hi y'all, this is Dan, owner at Cafe Domestique. As you have probbably seen I have chosen to close Cafe Domestique in response to the current COVID 19 epidemic. My goal is to keep our staff, our customers, and anyone they have contact with as safe as possible as we work stop the spread of coronavirus.
At the best of times, small coffee shops like ours run on a razor thin margin, so when something like this abruptly forces us to close our doors, the first folks to suffer are those friendly baristas you see on a daily basis. Things like the building, the equipment, the 'brand' are all secondary to making sure that the people that make your coffee are taken care of.
I'm setting up this fund to help pay your favorite baristas while the cafe is closed. We run out little cafe on a razors edge at the best of times, and the prospect of being closed for an extended period of time and uncertainty on just what kind of access very small business' like ours will have to recovery funding, the immediate need is to make sure they can take care of their daily needs.
These funds will be used solely to compensate baristas while we're closed. At this point in time we haven't determined how long that will be, but the assumption is at least a month. Based on our past payroll, that'll come to about $5000. Anything helps - if even if you just think of what you'd toss in the tip jar when you get a coffee.
Thank you in advance for your generosity! We're looking forward to being able to serve you again the near future.
