Domestic Violence Murder Victim- Alliyah Staes
On July 19th, Alliyah “Lee Lee” Staes, age 19, was heartbreakingly beaten and stabbed to death. Alliyah was goofy, quiet, and a very good mother to her 1 year old daughter. Many people describe her as being a caring person who would give anyone the shirt off of her back.
At the time of her death, she was 5 months pregnant, expecting her second child, a boy. Alliyah’ s son also passed away due to the severity of her injuries caused by her attacker. She was overly excited about becoming a mother for the second time. Our family is deeply saddened by the news of not only the loss of Alliyah but also her son.
She was an amazing mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend. Her infectious smile and magnetic personality caused others to gravitate to her and long to be in her presence. This tragic event has taken LeeLee away from us so unexpectedly and has not only given us emotional grief, but it has also caused financial hardship as we begin the difficult task of preparing for Alliyah and her son’s Homegoing/Memorial Service. Any donation will be utilized for these services with any remaining donations placed in an account for her surviving 1 year old daughter.
