Domestic Violance Abuse Victim needs help!

A dear friend of mine, Amelia, is in desperate need of help. She has been living with a very abusive partner who has harmed her mentally, emotionally, financially, and physically for years. Her life is very controlled by her abuser and when he beats her and bruises her face and body, he locks her in the house week at a time and doesn’t allow her to leave, taking away her phone and any ability to contact help. He mentally and emotionally abuses her on daily basis. Amelia has two beautiful little children (2.5- and 4.5-year-old) and is looking to rebuild her traumatized life in a safe place to live.

Recently Amelia has been able to get a job so she started getting a little bit of normalcy and a chance to talk about her experiences, which lead to a decision to leave her abuser and start a new home where she and her babies can find much-needed peace.

She has no family that can support her and every government help outlet we reached out to has been out of funds or has months-long waiting lists for subsidized apartments. She is receiving some help with food stamps and some donations of necessities such as diapers and toilet paper. Moving to a new apartment Amelia has no necessities such as furnishings or beds for the kids.

Funds raised will be used for: security deposit + 1st month's rent, used car down payment + car insurance, and kids' room furnishings. If any funds are left over, they will be used to provide basic kitchen and bathroom essentials, a dining room table and a couch.

Please open your hearts and help Amelia and her children start a new life and a healing process after trauma. We all take for granted a calm, quiet home full of love where we can feel at peace. Please help this family to find theirs, even if you can only donate $1, it will help make a difference.
