Boxing Day 2017 saw the life of a Brackley family change forever. Charlotte Pickwick had celebrated her 41st birthday and Christmas with her family in the preceding days. If it hadn't been for the actions of her husband, and prompt arrival of a defibrillator, that may have been the last Christmas that the family shared.

Charlotte suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, unexpectedly and without obvious warning. Stuart, her husband, an engineer by trade, called 999 and then undertook 8 minutes of chest compression-only CPR, whilst waiting for an emergency ambulance to arrive. On arrival, the crew successfully delivered a shock from a defibrillator to restart Charlotte's heart.

Since 2018, Charlotte and Stuart have worked  tirelessly to raise funds to deliver CPR training and install Community Public Access Defibrillators in South Northants, Oxfordshire  and Buckinghamshire. In Jan 2022,  they were joined by Nicola Putt and Mark Jones who equally have the passion they do. They want to continue to deliver education, develop public awareness of the risks of sudden cardiac arrest and continue to install more Community Public Access Defibrillators.

Please donate as much as you can, attend CPR training, support fundraising and awareness of Charlotte's story.
