Dog Shelter Construction

Samra and Vedran run their own dog shelter for strays in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.  They currently have over 30 dogs, some of them special needs animals, that they care for with their own money while holding down full time jobs.  Unfortunately, their landlord is evicting the dogs from the current location and they are required to leave by September 1.   They have identified a new place to house the dogs but they must build a sturdy new enclosure including dog houses.  Without the construction of this new housing the dogs will have to be placed in a government shelter where they will likely die.  

We need your help buying supplies to build these pooches a new home!  We must purchase supplies before our volunteer construction day on August 18.  The costs and materials are listed below and Samra and Vedran will do all the work themselves with the help of volunteers recruited from the expat community in Sarajevo.  We will post receipts for all materials where possible, photos of the construction process, and the new homes for the dogs!
