Dog Park In Memory Of Mom

Donación protegida

My mother Renee survived hitlers bombing during WW2 in Liverpool England, at 91 years old beat Covid and the memory care facility, but couldn’t hold out for her second dose of the vaccine and to be able to see family again.

My sister, her husband and my wife cared for her for years in our homes for as long as we could. At age 90 she required more care than we could provide, and shortly after placing her all visitation stopped.

My fondest memories were seeing the joy visiting the dog parks on her daily routine would bring her......and I want to memorialize that joy and share it with my community. The city has land set aside, I have limited resources but a ton of drive to get this done.

When my mom brought us to America, she taught us to assimilate and celebrate our new mother land’s traditions......To contribute to the community. To be useful and not a burden.

I have a vision of areas for little and large dogs, with agility courses to encourage owner/ pet interaction. A shaded gazebo for owner/owner interaction.....one that could double as a bandstand to celebrate July 4th and Pioneer days.

The City Of Toquerville has already committed the land for a Dog Park......What we need to complete this vision is donations of materials (fencing, concrete, memorial benches, gazebo) time (plans), machinery labor, and financial assistance. I want this to be the best dog park ever built, not simply a holding pen of sorts.  A celebration of life and the joy that our pets can help us weather even the most challenging of times.
