Dog has pyometra and needs surgery

Our dog, Malika, has been diagnosed with pyometra; an infection of her uterus, and needs to have surgery to have it removed. The procedure will cost between $2200-$3000. All of the funds raised will be put towards the cost of the surgery and any additional medication, etc. 

For now we have medication to help the infection and to reduce her fever. It's only a temporary solution until we can get the money to pay for her surgery.

Around 10 years ago a friend of ours found a stray dog and took her in. A few days after Christmas she gave birth to three puppies, and one of those babies became ours. She's been with my daughter and I through many tough times and means the world to us, and would like to have her with us for many more years.
