Dog Drinking Fountain at NV Beach-Kahle Park

The Rabe Meadows/Nevada Beach trailhead on Kahle Drive needs a doggie drinking fountain and bottle water filler. This is a very popular trail for the community members and is an active dog park.
In cooperation with Douglas County, US Forest Service and Lake Tahoe Planning and Permitting LLC, we would like to raise the funds necessary to purchase and install a doggie drinking fountain and bottled water filler. It would be located at the Trailhead of Rabe Meadows and NV Beach near the bathrooms at Kahle Drive.
Help keep our furry friends hydrated and reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles!
The fountain would cost approximately $5,000. The fountain would have freeze resistant valves to ensure that early season cold spells do not break the fountain. It would be located to ensure that all ADA requirements are met. If all funds are obtained by February 2021, the project will be completed in early summer, 2021.
