St. Bernard Puppy has 4 flat tires :-(
Our St. Bernard puppy (yes he's only 9 months) has some major
issues that require surgery. We recently made the trip to Ohio State Vet.
hospital to have him evaluated. The result... Dodger has 4 flat tires :(
He has arthritis in both elbows and the beginning of hip issues.
His biggest issue is his knees. His right knee is manageable,
but his left will need surgery to correct. He has a severely luxating
patella (knee cap that slips to the side of his leg). This has
caused inflammation, bone on bone rubbing, slight damage to his ACL, and
the inability to walk pain free. We have already spent thousands to get this
far, but unfortunately we can't financially continue with out some help.
Dodger is our first puppy, it kills us that he has gone through so much at
such a young age. Dodger will be on arthritis meds and joint support
supplements for the rest of his life. He is a fun loving and friendly dog
that is limited by genetic issues. It's very sad to see him limping
everywhere he goes and knowing he's in pain. The estimate for the surgery
is approx. $3000. Any help is extremely appreciated! I will do my
best to keep everyone up to date on his condition and progress.
Thank you so much, Dennis & Alicia - Dodgers Parents.
