Doc's orthopedic surgery

First: about Doc, he is the sweetest little dog, every time people come visit they want to take him, he loves everyone and LOVES to kiss faces even when I don't want him to... and he is hurt, bad. He is currently at Texas A&M Small Animal Orthopedic service. Friday he was attacked by something (we think maybe a bird of prey as he is a little guy) and has a displaced hip, displaced sacrum, multiple fractures of his pelvic bones and a fractured femur. Right now we (by we I mean my parents because I have no money as a student who has not had time to work this year) have spent about $1200 to get him to this point and to get him better we are looking at minimum another $5000.
Second: about me.... this is difficult but in my first year of vet school I was diagnosed with clinical depression, I tried meds for about 2 years but had bad side effects and I have said ever since that Doc is my best medicine and the reason I have made it through vet school without having to stay on meds. I house sat for a friend who had rescued a pregnant dog from which Doc was the runt of the litter and was getting beat up on by his siblings so I would bring him inside to cuddle and we became so attached that I couldn't imagine not adopting him.
Third: about Doc's family. Doc has 2 wonderful grandparents, 1 aunt, 2 beautiful nieces, and many "Aunties" who love him. My parents are helping me with his medical bills but they don't have that kind of cash lying around, especially after having helped put me through undergrad and vet school. Any help they give is going on credit cards or out of their retirement funds which they have been working so hard for their whole adult lives.
I am probably too prideful, I would have never thought I would do this but when it comes to my baby, my "Bubba" "Nugget" "Doc", there is nothing I wouldn't do. Anything you can give is so greatly appreciated but if you can't give money any prayers, good vibes, well wishes, sharing this, anything is appreciated.
