Help for Diesel

On Sunday Dec 29th my nieces fur baby Diesel who is 1.5 years starting getting sick and wasn't showing interest in food or water. After not showing any signs of feeling better we decided to bring him into the Vet on Wednesday morning to see what was going on. Upon examination they admitted him for kidney failure as his numbers were 5x higher than normal. They immediately started him on IV fluids while running tests to see if they could determine the cause. This morning (1/1) his labs showed improvement but are still at 3x higher than normal. The Vet did report that he starting eating a little last night around 10:30pm which was a huge relief after him not eating for over 2 days. Although as of 9:00 this morning he had not eaten since. When we went to see him today he started to perk up also, all good signs that he's heading in the right direction. The Vet has started treatment for Addisons, a type of kidney disease. If they start to see positive response to the treatment he may get to come home as soon as tomorrow and while we are hopeful that treatment will work it's not a simple treat and done kinda thing. Treatment will require monthly checkups along with medications and injections for the rest of his life. Diesel is one of their babies and as much as he needs his sisters they also need him. We are willing to do whatever is necessary to not only get him better but to make sure he lives a long happy and healthy life. Any donation is greatly appreciated. All money raised will be used for current vet bills and anything left over will be put towards future expenses with vet bills and meds.
