THANK YOU ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME THUS FAR. Seriously, my time here has been amazing and the Lord has given me plenty of opportunities to pray for kids and plant seeds in them. It has been an incredible journey.

My last day in kids ministry here at the Dream Center in Los Angeles is August 31st. I would have liked to be coming home shortly after but with prayer and much consideration I have decided to extend my stay for another four months!

I really believe the first four months of my time here was a huge growing experience. While serving I have learned so much about myself and have become sure of who I am as a person in Christ. Before, I would literally stumble over my words about how I felt. It was like I couldn't express myself well. I also didn't have a clear vision for my life. Now I have confidence I didn't have before; a confidence in The Lord and a balance of being a servant and leader at the same time. God has given me a perspective on life and more detailed direction for my future. I have come so far in just four months. But now I know that I have even more to do and I'm willing to learn.

Being in kids ministry (or just being here in general) has taught me a lot about what goes on in the everyday lives of the people here. There is alot of gang activity where most of the families we minister to live. They experience tons of drive by shootings (that I've actually encountered), violence within the homes, violence at schools, family members and loved ones involved in gang activity, etc. They're also constantly dealing with poverty. It's really hard for a lot of them. Their lives are not easy.

The next four months of my life I will be working for a ministry called Adopt-A-Block. Adopt-A-Block is all about building relationships with people and meeting their physical and spiritual needs. THIS IS WHAT I AM ALL ABOUT. I believe God wants me to learn how this ministry runs and bring what I learn back home. The vision The Lord has given me is to meet people's needs whatever they might be, both physically and spiritually. I want to show them the love of Christ in a real and tangibale way.

I'll be volunteering fulltime for the next four months of my life. Would you please pray and consider helping me help others as I am on this journey? Since I am "volunteering' my time I have no source of income and still have bills to pay while taking care of myself well-being here. Anything you can give will be much appreciated and used very wisely. Thank you so much and may the Lord bless you!
