As-Salaamu ‘Alaykum. My name is Luis Hernandez and I have applied to and been accepted to study Arabic at Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan this upcoming school year. I am very grateful for this unexpected opportunity to finally get back on my feet and continue my education.
It's been two years since I've been in school and I'm ready to get back on track and finish what I started. I attended The Ohio State University from 2009-2012 and majored in Arabic. I was academically dismissed for poor grades and I have no one but myself to blame. I did nothing to better myself after this and wasted two years of my life working. I'm ready to start over. I have always wanted to study this language and I know that I can do it. I know it will not be easy and I know it will take me a while, but I am ready to take on the challenge of learning this beautiful language head on. I want to formally study Arabic again. I want to spend hours studying it everyday. I am ready to fully commit my time to studying. I want to learn why and how the language works. I want to be able to finally speak with confidence. I want to learn how to teach this language since my goal is to teach Arabic.
Since I can transfer the credits back to The Ohio State University, I will be able to finish my degree and finally keep pushing forward.
I really wish I didn't have to resort to asking for any kind of aid online as there are way more important causes here, but if any of you can help me by donating any amount, I would be eternally grateful. I will not let you down and I will finish my degree.
