Dlamini Tengetile Nompilo - Grant Award #9!!

Ashleigh’s Life Foundation is thrilled to nominate our Ninth Grant Award Recipient!
I met Dlamini Tengetile Nompilo this weekend at the CF FamilyCon function during an after-event chat function. This CFer lives in southern Africa in the country of Swaziland. In order to obtain what little medical treatment she has access to, Nompilo must travel to South Africa.
Although she has a lung function of 15% and needs to be on oxygen for 17 hours a day, a donated Portable Oxygen Concentrator allows her to continue to hold a job. This young lady, who looks as if she is 12 years old, is factually aged 25 years. With her spunk, resiliency and smile (because she loves to smile despite everything going on), Nompilo is looking forward to her next 25 years. And 25 years after that.
After all, she loves to smile, despite everything going on in her life.
Funds raised for Nompilo will go toward providing her with a Therapeutic Vest and medication to be donated from those who may have an excess supply. Through a donation from someone who has a Vest to spare, we do currently have a vest to forward to Nompilo. Funds raised for her will go toward funding shipping of the Vest and of medications received.

To date, this Foundation has raised nearly $4,000 since its inception in January 2020, and have provided grant awards to eight CF Warriors.
The mission of Ashleigh’s Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is to provide financial relief through Award Grants funded by individual donations and corporate grants to Cystic Fibrosis patients who are in need of surplus medication, and to those CFers who are at or near End Stage.
