Becky's Medical Bills

Last Nov. 1, 2017, Becky suffered a massive stroke while on holiday with her youngest son, in Queensland Australia. She is now in a stable condition and has been approved by the doctors to fly back to Manila, but she has yet to be able to regain her ability to speak, walk, or sit up. She currently has right side paralysis, and left sided weakness, but is showing good signs of improvement daily. We, her family, friends and loved ones, are continuously praying for her full recovery.

We are also raising funds to cover her medical bills, the total of which amounts to almost AUD $80,000 (over PHP 3 million) for a month’s stay in a public hospital in Queensland, Australia.

Her family is currently negotiating with Queensland health for the possibility of a discounted and deferred payment scheme. However, after the huge expenses in relation to arranging her flight back home, and an initial payment of AUD $5,000 to the hospital, the family’s finances are now running low, and there are a lot more expenses expected in relation to her hospitalisation in the Philippines, therapy bills, and daily expenses.
