Help Marc & Throy Beat Cancer!

Donation protected
Early in the fall Marc was woken up by his husband, Throy, who was having what we now know was a seizure.  Following this episode, Throy was told he had a brain tumor. It was removed shortly after on November 16th. The surgery went well! He responded to all the prompts the whole time. Throy was aware that speaking would be difficult at first due to the anesthesia and trauma of the surgery.  He faced this hurdle with Marc by his side. He started speech and physical therapy right away. He was doing very well until he received a message from the doctor to come in to discuss the findings of his tumor. Throy and Marc learned that the tumor was malignant and is a glioblastoma. Because of the nature of this cancer, Throy will start chemo and radiation for six weeks in hopes of eradicating anything that may be left.

This has been extremely difficult on the Sink family. Throy has not been able to work (hairdresser) and therefore is unable to bring in any income.  Marc is a teacher at George J. Mitchell Elementary School.

Marc is the most caring person I know. He, along with his entire family have spent countless hours organizing Relay for Life cancer fundraisers for our community. I think it would be great to alleviate a bit of financial stress for Marc and Throy during the holiday season.   Please consider helping these wonderful people!
