Divine's Dream: To fly above the clouds

Divine had so many reasons not to hope for much in life. Born in Rwanda, where a genocide left nearly a million people dead in the mid-1990s, Divine (pronounced De-veen) was a young girl being raised by an impoverished grandmother.
"I didn't think I was going to be able to become anybody. I actually had no future ahead of me," she recently recalled.
But hope came knocking when she was 11.
A town official told her of a Pennsylvania woman who had started an orphanage to help care for children impacted by the genocide.  Arlene Brown's Urukundo Home for Children  would be the answer to many children's prayers.

Two years later, Mama Arlene would bring Divine with her to the U.S. to visit family. And on that jet, high above the puffy, white clouds, a young girl fell in love with flying and for the past 11 years has pursued an education in Rwanda with a single goal in mind: to become a commercial pilot.
Divine, now 24, has recently graduated from the University of Kigali with a bachelor's degree in computer science. That was made possible by donations from so many people around the world to Hope Made Real  and Urukundo Foundation, which help Mama Arlene, now in her 80s, continue to educate and love the children of Rwanda.
Now comes a greater need -- getting Divine into aviation school, specifically L3Harris Airline Academy in Florida. Schooling, supplies, and room and board will total about $115,000.
This young woman -- decisive, dynamic, and "devoted to be an ambassador of positive change in society" -- has so very much earned this next vital step to help her realize her dream.
Let's help get her back above the clouds -- this time in the cockpit. 
She has called Mama Arlene "an angel sent by God." Divine needs a few more angels now.
