Huntington’s disease (HD) is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure. It's been described that the symptoms of HD are like having ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – simultaneously. This is pain, both mentally and emotionally, I can't even imagine... this is a pain that Jen lives with every day. Not Jen alone, but those that have gone before her as well. In her immediate family, her mother and brother have gone on to their heavenly eternity- long before our loved ones are ever hoped to or expected to go. In addition both Jen and her brother, Jesse, have been diagnosed with HD. Jen chooses life, knowing that her days are numbered. She has chosen to live a life of experiences, positivity, and love. The choice of love led her to a man- one that would embrace this place- to love along side her until she's lived her last in this earthly home. Never did she expect would come to her next... this LOVE was taken in the blink of an eye before her! The plan that she would go long before her mate was brought to a horrifying halt. Headed home from work, his heart stopped, he was gone.

This life changing loss left Jen without a husband, and with all her medical bills, his funeral costs, and no ability to work- impeding her capacity to cover it all!

Life insurance should have been a simple fix, but with Jen having HD it was expected his life would out last her's. This being so, her husband's life insurance was set at passing to go to his father in Montana. No life insurance support leaves Jen with no way to wrap her head around it all.
