The Waldie brothers have always been a formidable force…
… but no one has ever been in any doubt as to who the super-star is.
At over 100kg however, and with a BMI off the charts, the star’s weight was threatening to break up the band.
So with the support of his amazing parents and his loving fiancé Angelica, Dave began a regime of gruelling exercise and healthy eating seeking to drop those kilos…
… overseen by the toughest judge of them all. A hairy hardarse known as… THE COMMISSIONER! (ER.. er.. er.. er). The Commissioner would dole out punishments whenever a weight target was missed, forcing our hero to climb endless flights of stairs, forgo his weekend frothies, or get down and bust out sets of pushups.
But Dave had a goal. In a fit of mockery and hubris, the commissioner had bet Dave that if he ever dropped a whopping third of his body weight, the Commissioner would shave his precious beard. In fact, the commissioner would shave ALL OF HIS BODY HAIR!
One fateful day, the 11th of October 2016 to be precise, DAVE DID IT... 68 kg!
And for some reason, the Commissioner has gone into hiding…
But with your help (and a bit of your cash), we can catch that welshing weasel, and rob him of his rug. Chuck in a few of your hard-earned dollars, and let’s shave this Commissioner to a slippery shadow of his former hairy self!
All funds raised will go directly to supporting Dave’s awesome theatre group from Indel-Ability Arts (pictured below) to continue treading the boards, telling their stories, and highlighting the importance of inclusion, understanding, and compassion for all people.
