Disabled Veteran Fighting Cancer

My 61 year old cousin, Tim Jordan, is a partially disabled U.S. Navy veteran. He has a loving wife of 28 years who is also disabled. Together, they raised a family and even now take care of one of their daughters who has an inoperable brain tumor. They are also raising two of their grandchildren.

Tim has always been the household wage earner, as well as a very generous soul who would give you his last dime if you needed it. Unfortunately, he was given horrible news last week. He was diagnosed with both lung and stage four throat cancer and goes in for his first surgery at the VA Hospital this Friday. He will need to undergo months of therapy and is not expected to be able to return to work after this ordeal.

While he is on a fast track to receive Social Security disability, we don't expect that he will receive another check for at least two months. In the meantime, his bills will stack up. Even when his SSDI checks begin, they will not begin to cover living expenses for his five-person household.

I am asking my family, friends, and anyone else who sees this to please be generous in their donation to Tim and his family. They're good people who need a helping hand only because of illness that has plagued their family.
