Disabled Trans Person Recovering from Homelessness

Auggie is a Black disabled trans-masculine person who struggles from chronic migraines which is currently prohibiting them from short term gigs that they have canceled due to the physical pain they're experiencing.

The past year in 2022 has been increasingly hard for them as their migraines have only gotten worse but the support has decreased. They have not had stable housing since the pandemic started and cannot continue any type of advocacy work due to the fact that they currently live in a shared house that does not support trans people. They are exhausted both mentally and physically and are hoping to raise funds for a safe and a affordable place to live where they can be at peace.

Even though they will be working most of that money will be going to save for a new place along with all the past due bills since they’ve been out of work during pride month. They had to leave a transphobic job after being followed into the bathroom by a cis male co worker and management at that job did nothing to resolve the situation. Now almost two months later they found a job that they’ll be starting at the end of August but have zero income due to their migraines which has made it debilitating to work under flourescent lighting. They hope to see a eye doctor who can create glasses to block the pain but currently use cheaper blue light glasses they got on Amazon which don’t fully block the light. Auggie suffers from BOTH chronic migraines & epilepsy but Because they are both invisible disabilities it is harder to get support. They want to support the disabled community but are STILL living with anti trans roommates and are un-employed until the end of the month along with being in pain everyday makes it hard to keep going. They appreciate the support and are thankful to the people who genuinely care and support them.

$3000 for first last and security deposit for a accessible apartment

$700 for past due rent, Wi-Fi & phone bills

$300 for prescription blue light glasses to help block blue light and fluorescent light stronger than their current glasses
