Scammed for first and last month's

In August of 2019 our family was was left with no choice but to sell our family home of 50 plus years. My mom (owner) unfortunately was left owing a large amount of money,and had no choice but to claim personal bankruptcy. We found a home in Picton and thought we found a safe home for our family. The last 7months has been a nightmare we have learned our landlord has neglected important repairs. We live without useable water, black mold throughout the home, ant infestation and no hot water in half the house. We pay $2100 plus monthly. Which aways paid early. We gave 10 weeks notice (mid January)and started the search for a new home. It has been a long unsuccessful few months of searching. We have spent hundreds of dollars on gas in viewing homes , even been preapproved for homes. Becoming more desperate as our moving date draws near, we posted an add on kijji on march 3/2020 titled " URGENT" family of six in need of home. Same day we were contacted by a gentleman who claimed to have 4 bed home with garage plus finished basement. Arrangements were made to meet and sign lease for friday march 6/2020. A deposit of $2100 plus last months rent, then to more deposits were made in total $4200. We were told in order to secure the home. Friday march 6 comes, we proceed to the home to meet gentleman to sign lease. After waiting long past our meeting time and no communication with gentleman and realizing the home is already occupied, I contacted the police. This is now ongoing fraud investigation. We are left with 3 weeks to find a home for family of 5 as well 72 year old mother. If anyone wolud like to make donation of has information on house rental please contact us.
