Disabled bedroom and bathroom extension

My wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after I met her. We married and have had a happy life together. Her mobility continued to decline but despite this we met these challenges head on and tried our best not to let it stop us doing what we enjoyed.
In 2009 on our 2nd wedding anniversary, by then in a wheelchair:
She is now well into the secondary progressive stage and her condition has continued to deteriorate. Over the last year she has had multiple hospital admissions with sepsis and is now bed bound, requires hoisting and has no use of her limbs. She needs all of her care needs meeting 24/7. Her life is now spent mainly confined to a hospital bed in our living room. When we do get out, she has to use a specially configured wheelchair now to even keep her head upright.
My wife 2 weeks ago:
We have reached out for support to get a single storey extension built so she can have her own bedroom and a wet room so that she can try to have a normal life; however, we have been told we do not qualify for any financial support for this! We have no savings or disposable income as most of this has been previously spent on adaptations over the course of her ill health which all had to be self funded then too!
I love my wife so much and I really want to make this happen so we can then spend our time making memories as a husband and wife without worrying so much about trying to improve her basic human needs. Despite all of these problems we have a small sanctuary for unwanted cats whom I look after and I also undertake volunteering in the community. I hope that you will see this as a worthy fundraiser.
