[***Story Update 2 - Tuesday May 7th, 2019***]
We had a very successful benefit at the Great Barrington VFW on April 20th. Trevor flew home from California on Friday before the benefit, and showed up at the event to surprise everyone! His flight home was happily uneventful. Since being home he has been adjusting well, and has had lots of help from his buddies and Suzanne. It is difficult to get upstairs to where his bathroom and bedroom are, so friends have made him a temporary bedroom downstairs and they are working on building him a bathroom downstairs as well. He made a trip to Boston to go to Spaulding Rehab Facility, however, it was too long of a day for him at this point and he wasn't happy with the care there. He also visited Pittsfield's rehab facility and found it to be much better for him, so that is where he is currently going for his continued rehab. He is also seeing a local fitness trainer a few times a week which has been going really well.
Tee shirts are still available at the Cove Bowling Lanes in GB, and I will be going to a local WNYOA race soon with a bunch of them.

[***Story Update 1 - Wednesday March 20th, 2019***]
A lot has changed in the last 22 days. Trevor spent February 26th through March 8th in a Riverside Hospital before getting moved to an in-patient rehab facility at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
While at the hospital he spent most of the time in the ICU, pre & post spinal stabilization surgery. (Which was a very long, but successful surgery on March 1st!) Since being moved to rehab, he is doing relatively well. Rehab is intense, and they are pushing him a lot! He has 3-4 45 minute sessions every day, working on building his strength and teaching him how to take care of himself.
Right now his discharge date is April 2nd, however, it really is a day-by day process as well as a battle with insurance restraints. Once he is released he will transfer to an out-patient program, before being able to come home.
On March 11th Trevor took the ASIA test, which is a series of questions, procedures, and evaluations that places those with a spinal cord injury on a scale to help give a better prognosis. Trevor scored an "A", which is the most severe of all spinal cord injuries. They said that of all the patients that have had this exact injury and score rating, 5-8% have gone on to walk someday. Trevor’s response to that was; “I have never been one to give up, matter of fact I heard that stat, and that gave me hope. I'm gonna be that next person to walk....I'm raising their stats to 9%!”
As you can see from the above statement, Trevor is ready to fight and do all he can to give himself the best possible outcome.
We were successful in getting Trevor health insurance, however, there are many costs that are not covered- such as the cost of living without income, the endless list of handicap modifications to his vehicles and home, and the two LifeFlight Helicopter transports. Because of this, we have increased our goal. If you’re in a position to lend a hand, your donations are greatly appreciated.

This is my brother, Trevor. Aka; Trev, T-Cobb, Cobber, Uncle Trev, T-rev, and Owner of Treyson Racin’ Powersports Parts & Accessories. Most of you know him from racing, riding, or fixing..anything.
On Tuesday February 26th, he got in an accident while riding near Ocotillo wells, CA. Immediately after the accident he could not feel anything from the chest down. He was flown to Palm Springs Hospital, where they confirmed that he has a spinal cord injury. Trevor was then flown to Riverside Hospital where he is now in the ICU awaiting surgery to stabilize the spine. Other injuries that are known are fractures to his right 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th ribs.
Trevor has a long road ahead of him. His anticipated “normal” everyday life is going to look much different than it did on Tuesday morning before his accident. The doctors anticipate him being in CA for several months before being able to return home. Trevor does not have medical insurance.
