Dilay to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall

Hello everyone, We're raising money for 16-year-old Turkish cellist Dilay to come and perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in July. Dilay Ra Ozgur is a rising star in the world of classical music, coming out of Aydin, Turkey. She recently won the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition and got invited to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Dilay is hoping to travel here with her mom and her cello teacher and the entirety of the money will go towards their travel, accommodations, and food. Below you can read Dilay's bio and a short letter from Dilay herself: Hello, My name is Dilay Ra Oygür. I am 16 years old. I am no stranger to adversity. I’m also no stranger to overcoming adversity and winning international music competitions. I’ve performed at Carnegie Hall for the last two years. I find myself with yet another challenge tied to my struggle toward success that requires your assistance. I’m a cello student at Kusadasi State Conservatory of Turkey. I was awarded the 1st prize in my age category in the 2023 Golden Classical Music Awards International Music Competition held in the USA and I am invited to perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall and award ceremony. The award performance is on the 19th of July 2023. People have been generous with praise. I’ve been called a virtuoso, prodigy, and star. These words are flattering but I’m just a young girl working my fingers off to fulfill my dreams. You can have more info about me from my short biography at the end of this article. It seems impossible for me to make such a trip due to the limited financial means of my family. I have been sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey and Turkish Airlines for my previous concerts abroad. This time, if you like my resume and my upcoming concert, I would like to ask for your sponsorship for our travel expenses and accommodation for me, my mother and my cello professor for a week in Los Angeles. Thank you, DİLAY RA OYGÜR Born in 2007, Dilay Ra OYGÜR continues her cello education at Aydın Adnan Menderes University State Conservatory under the tutelage of Dr. Özgür ELGÜN. Oygür, now a dominant force within the world’s most prestigious youth competition community, has had several 1st place finishes since giving her first solo recital at age 14. Nationwide; Oygür, was the youngest of 7 elite students invited to study at the incredibly selective 2nd Istanbul International Music Academy’s cello instruction given by Prof. Frans Helmerson culminating with a concert at the Istanbul Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. She was awarded the 1st prize in her age category at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition held in the USA in 2021 and 2022. With each win came the opportunity for her to perform at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York. Her successes keep growing as she has now received an invitation to give another concert in July of 2023, at Los Angeles acclaimed Walt Disney Hall.
