Dijon’s battle against Sarcoma Cancer

Donation protected

Hello, family, friends and strangers I would like to thank you for taking the time to read, share and donate. Our family appreciates it so much.

Many know my husband Dijon or Bubba some call him, has been fighting a rare cancer called Epithelioid Sarcoma that forms in soft tissue. Dijon is always in the best mood and so chill if you know him! Right now he isn’t doing to good though. Every prayer, share and donation helps during this time. Thank you friends and family who stepped up to fight this battle with us from day one and thank you for the strangers who are here to support us until Dijon is cancer free. We hope to bring more awareness to Epithelioid Sarcoma Cancer!

Dijon’s case started in 2018 as daily chronic pain in his right arm. Doctors had no clue what it could be and a lump slowly formed and his arm eventually got to the point where it was numb and hurt from even the lightest touch.  This cancer started in his soft tissue and began spreading to his bone and armpit through the blood stream. His doctor told us it was a stain rather than a mess they can just clean up with a treatment called Debridement.  As the doctor appointments, biopsy’s, PET scans, X rays, and bloodwork passed, his arm became very stiff, formed necrosis on his wrist and grew bigger by day. When the cancer had spread to his armpit it developed 22 lymph nodes of which 8 were cancerous. On top of everything suddenly they told us on a Friday, July 10th 2020 that he would need to get his  arm amputated the following Monday, July 13th 2020.

While not cancer free yet, Dijon is now home with me and our kids but will undergo 6 rounds of hospitalized chemotherapy and radiation in a couple of weeks, which involves him staying in the hospital for 5 days each round of chemo. He’s been weaker, irritable, sad and in pain more than he usually is and we constantly have to explain to our young children what’s going on and how to deal with it, although we are going through this for the first time too.

Donations will go to any co pays needed for medicine, hospital stays, treatments,  prosthetics, amputee tools needed in everyday life, and family bills and day to day living expenses.

Thank you from the Ray-Williams family!
