Digital Literacy Equipment

My name is Juany Murphy Co-founder of Otra Cosa Network. Just before the outbreak of COVID-19, we built an after-school club called the Educational & Recreational Centre in Cerrito de la Virgen, Peru. This is a disadvantaged community on the outskirts of Huanchaco. After Covid-19 the inequalities in education have increased to the extent that the youth did not have access to education during 2020-2022. Otra Cosa Network is filling the gap by supporting education during after-school classes. We have very few resources and as part of the students’ digital literacy learning, we are fundraising for a laptop, projector with screen, and internet dongle.

More information about Otra Cosa Network: Otra Cosa Network is a registered Peruvian non-profit NGO (no. 11126841) and a UK Registered Charity (no. 1133680) based in Huanchaco, Trujillo on the coast of Northern Peru. Otra Cosa Network runs five of our own projects, which are all part of the Huanchaco Education and Learning Programme (HELP). HELP is dedicated to advancing the education possibilities and resources for those living in lower-income communities in Huanchaco and the surrounding informal settlements.
