Dienamarie Giaquinto passed away on Saturday, October 10 after a four year battle with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Dienamarie was a beloved friend and sister. A 2005 Graduate of Pratt Institute, she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, founding member of the New York Alumna Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma and an Advisor for Sigma Sigma Sigma.
Dienamarie was strong, resilient, encouraging, steadfast and true, everything you could possibly ask for of a friend and a sister.
It is our goal to honor Dienamarie's memory where so many of us forged our friendships with her, at Pratt Institute.
We hope to have a bench or a tree planted on campus for current, future and alumni students, friends and family, can gather, sketch, paint, create, even sell Girl Scout cookies from and remember Diena's giving and loving spirit. She brought and kept so many of us together with her love and authentic spirit, we hope her memorial will do the same.
Funds raised here will 100% go to the funding of said memorial. In the unlikely event that the money is unable to be used for said memorial, a donation will be made to an organization(s) to support and represent the way Dienamarie lived her life in helping others.
