DiasporaEd

The Community Interest Company is called DiasporaEd. The purpose is to provide positive, black history education resources to black and mixed race children in foster care.  The resources will be provided through the use of e-learning platforms, paper-based activities and worksheets. 

As a care leaver myself, I understand the impact of growing up outside of my community and not knowing much about my own heritage. As a result, I have actively taught myself & believe that it's positively changed my perception of many things. I believe that it is important to know about the positive black history that is not taught in schools & I hope that by learning this, children will  achieve a greater sense of self-esteem & confidence - all whilst enjoying their positive learning experience.
