DIAS Family - Earthquake Support

Over the past 4 weeks a series of 3 devastating earthquakes have hit Lombok in Indonesia. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands of people were injured, amongst those killed were the family members of a dear friend of ours.

It’s hard to comprehend the full extent of a tragedy like this until it’s someone close to you, in this case our dear friend Dias from Lombok and his family are just some of the many people affected by this disaster.


Dias has lost pretty much everything in this earthquake, including some of his family members who were killed in their home as it collapsed. He is now there supporting the remaining members of his family under a tarp set up as a tent, sleeping on the cold damp ground, no toilets and very limited food and cooking facilities.

It breaks our heart to hear of his loss and see him living in these conditions, yet still he has a smile on his face to remain positive and strong for his family. They need food, shelter and water urgently and in time will need to start to rebuild their homes.


I Stephenie Harris and my partner Davor Banadinovic are from Australia and met Dias 3 years ago in Bali and have become very close friends. We are reaching out to you and together, with all of our friends, both in Bali and around the world, to raise enough money for a roof over their heads and food on their plates.
