Diane Elling - Bringing her Home

Diane and Bill have always spent with caution and purpose.  The family giggles at nearly every meal when even the smallest bites left over are saved in tiny containers, never to go to waste.

Both have been very intentional with every purchase made, thinking and planning for the long term.   Even in giving their gifts were generous but always came with a special meaning and you could tell were well thought out.

Diane’s home was filled with necessities that were amazing scores found after spending countless hours on weekends scouting out garage sales.  Her spending was focused on making memories, never on something frivolous.

Bill and Diane have both always been generous with their time in helping others. And would drop everything to help out a friend or build or sew something for their family.

No one could ever have imagined that the time would come during a pandemic where they would have to choose between having Diane spend her final days in a facility with no visitors allowed or coming home to rest and be surrounded by her family.

Unfortunately the costs of in home care on top of the last several years of pulling out all the stops to beat this thing, are more than even the most frugal of mothers could plan for.  No one could have predicted that a pandemic would keep family away from their loved ones in their final time.

We realize that the world flipped upside down at the worst possible time  and the financial situation is questionable for so many.  Your prayers, support and love are still our number one gift!!!!

Asking for help is never easy!  That said,  we also know that people want to help, but often don't know what is needed.  We need to keep Diane at home and most importantly she needs to be with the people who love her most.  We all love her so much, and we know you do too!

If you are in a situation to be able to give, even the smallest amount, it would help us ensure that Bill can focus on being what he needs to be and what Diane needs him to be which is her husband.  It will help us ensure that she has compassionate and trained care givers to keep her safe at home.  And it will keep her where she is most comfortable and will allow her family to be with her when we all need to be.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us, whether your gift is your time, your love, your prayers or your spare change, we are grateful!
