Diabetic Rescue Golden Doodle Cataract Surgery

Flo is a 6yr old rescued Mini Golden Doodle. She came to us very emaciated and in diabetic distress otherwise known as DKA (Diabetic keto acidosis). She was placed on IV fluids and supportive care to pull her through.

She is currently residing at Summit Vet Services in Winterset Iowa as the clinic canine until she is regulated and brought back to peak health. She is very sweet and loves attention as well as other animals. She also LOVES food.

She is on a specialty diet as well as insulin of course. Due to Flo's diabetes going untreated for such a long period of time, her eyes have paid the consequences and she has lost most of her sight.

She is in need of bilateral (both eyes) cataract surgery as soon as possible. This surgery will restore her sight and let her become a dog that's able to enjoy life more fully.
