I think we all remember Andy - crazy drummer, philospher-at-large, all around daredevil... and a hell of a great guy.
In case you did not hear, Andy suffered a major stroke last year right after Christmas (Jan 2017). He was in a coma for almost 3 months. He was significantly disabled - from the paralysis typical of a major stroke, but the stroke also left Andy completely blind.
His blindness is especially devastating, because as many of you know, his passion and career was in art and graphic design.
He has been through several facilities and stages of recovery, working hard to regain his independence, but he has a long way to go. He is currently living in a basic assisted care facility outside of Madison Wisconsin. His current insurance benefits cover the basic assisted care facility, and some physical therapy, but that's about it.
We are hoping to raise a significant amount, to help enhance Andy's current recovery efforts with more physical and occupational therapy. The money will go into a medical trust that can pay out enough each year to significantly raise Andy's independence and quality of life.
Please give whatever you can, and help change Andy's life. And please share his story and campaign with anyone you may know who has a connection with Andy. It is critical for us to get the word out.
Thanks for your help and generosity.
