Montgomery Cup Debate Tour

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, so it seemns a great day to launch this year's campaign. We are raising funds to support the Montgomery Cup British Exhibition Debate Tour. Every year, for the past 19 years, we have led a group of college debaters to England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland to debate against the cream of the British University Debate Unions. In years past we have debated Cambridge, Oxford, London Imperial, London City Law, Durham, York, Glamorgan, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Heriot Watt, St. Andrews, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Trinty, UC-Dublin, and UC-Cork. The students raise about half of the cost, but this year the University has been forced to cut its funding to our team by 45%. This is truly a life-changing experience for our students that changes their perspective to one of globalization and winning friends throughout the world.
