Dhirana Support Fund

Dhirana Academy of Classical Dance, (Megha P Rao, Founder & Director) is one of the most successful Indian Classical Dance schools in North West Arkansas, where dance quality and student development are given the highest priority. I am reaching out to you to support our school and students.


A large majority of my students have been learning from me for the past 7 – 8 years and because of technology we have been able to continue with lessons online even when they move to college. Teaching is an opportunity for me that I don’t take lightly; it’s a huge learning platform for me too. I am always on the lookout for how to improve myself so that I can offer the best to my students.


There are many expenses related to my dance school whether its lessons from master artists, costume, make up, venue, recording or music ensembles. Our annual fall showcase, Pradarshana, alone costs anywhere between $17,000 - $20,000. Our first dance production, The Exiled King premiered during Pradarshana 2019 and was a resounding success. All of my student’s parents are very supportive and help alleviate a small portion of the cost. But this is not enough to meet all the expenses.
