Mango Lizard issues 1 & 2

I'm going to take a bunch of my short stories...old and new...and put them into my own comic book: Mango Lizard Magazine.

To to get things started, I'm asking for your help to raise the money necessary to print Mango Lizard's first 2 issues.

See below for all the rewards you can get for your donation, with choices like digital (PDF) editions of the issues, sketched-in copies of the printed comics, and personal art commissions.

There will be 3 stories collected in Mango Lizard Magazine Issue #1, and they are:

"A Hard Boiled Heart" - Two lobsters in love at the bottom of the ocean!!!! They get caught in different nets and sent to different Acme's...and all hell breaks loose!!!!!!  (7 pages)

"Gypsy" - An unruly beast of a man, done wrong by one too many a woman, sets out on a path of revenge with nothing but his ostrich shell as his home and his bathrobe as his cape. Hailed as a worthy follow-up to Eastwood's classic Unforgiven.  (12 pages)

"For Rahim" - Rest in peace.  (4 pages)


Mango Lizard Magazine Issue #2 will feature 2 stories:

"Top Shelf the World" - A time traveling octopus gets in over his head!!!!!!!!  (18 pages)

"A.L.I.C.E." - A reinterpretation of the timeless classic Alice in Wonderland, by me, Fred Duran (story), Lance Erlick (colors), and Rafer Roberts (letters). And Lewis Carroll.  (11 pages)


All of the money donated here will go towards the printing of issues #1 & #2. The more money we raise, the more copies I can afford to print.

"For Rahim" can also be seen in this month's Quarter Moon #4: Waters (Locust Moon, 2014).
"A.L.I.C.E." originally appeared in Once Upon a Time Machine (Dark Horse, 2012).
