Dez Send Off

On July 9, 2017, we lost a longtime member of the Rickshaw Stop family. Dez Creedy-Hall was a special person who will be deeply missed by everyone who came in contact with him.

He was many things to many people. Some knew him as the door guy at Rickshaw Stop, others thought of him as a bandmate, a son, a friend, a brother – or the world's biggest Rolling Stones / Motorhead fan.

Everyone who knew him knew his sense of humor. Dez brought joy to every interaction. It was impossible to not laugh with him, even when -- especially when -- the joke was on you. As one of his coworkers put it, you knew Dez liked you by how much he made fun of you. He wasn't all jokes though. He was someone we could rely on and trust. The hardest worker and the first one to tell you that.

He loved music, his bands (Bad Names, Gems, Bomber, etc), his friends, and his family. He'd just moved to New York to try his hand at standup comedy. Anyone who'd seen him speak at The Moth Story Slam or tell any old story knew he had the chops to make it. Which is another reason this is so heartbreaking.

He meant the world to everyone in his life. The last thing we want is to have his family worry about money right now. For all the fun memories Dez has given us, the least we can do is give a few bucks so his family can focus on recovering from this huge loss, and not worry about paying for his funeral costs.
