Dexter Alex Wade

Hello, my name is Bettersten Wade and I am living my worst nightmare. On March 5, 2023 my son Dexter Wade was struck by a Jackson Police Department SUV and tragically killed trying to cross the highway. No one notified me or my family. When I didn't hear from my son the next day I filed a missing persons report and I have searched for my son for over a 172 days. I called and talked with Detective's in the Jackson Police Department daily asking for updates and continually given nothing, only to find out one of their own struck my son while he was crossing the road and killed him.

I am raising money to have my sons body exhumed with a full independent autopsy along with a proper burial and homegoing. Dexter deserved so much more than being buried in a paupers field grave for the unknown. He was a beloved son, father, nephew, and community member who deserved to be treated with love and care and given a proper resting place.
